3 times X Games Gold Medallist Snowboard Slopestyle.
BBC Ski Sunday Presenter and Specialist Coach.
I first met Kal to help with a lingering ankle injury. He managed my ankle injury efficiently and effectively from diagnosis, referral for surgery and recovery.
He gave great patient care throughout, always explaining and discussing the options so that as an athlete, we had a clear accurate plan made together all achieving as swift as possible return to snow for Olympic qualifying season.
Injuries Kal has overseen are an ankle cartilage injury initially not picked up, with scar tissue surrounding it. He also saw me for a shoulder injury sustained 2 months post Sochi Olympics and referred me to a fantastic shoulder surgeon. I had a Slap tear level 4 with surgery the following day!
Following my retirement from Professional Rugby, I still required World class medical advice. It was really comforting to have somebody I could call if an old or new (dancing) injury flared up.
Kal has been ideal for me, I trust him personally and medically to diagnose and prescribe the best treatment, so much so I've taken some of my children to see him with their injuries and his manner and expertise has made the relationship invaluable.
What injuries has he dealt with ? What hasn't he!! Knee injury, back issue, shoulder problems, infections. For one of my daughters a stress fracture in her foot.
I would whole heartedly recommend Kal to both ex sportsmen, businessmen, Strictly Come Dancers and families. He is undoubtedly at the top of the medical profession and brings a wealth of knowledge that prevents you from searching the world for specialising experts.
I can’t thank Kal enough because he never gave up on me, despite all the injuries I’ve had over the years! To find someone like Kal has been incredible. I’ve seen so many different sports doctors and surgeons throughout my running career, but he is simply “the best”. Unlike others I’ve seen, he’s listened, he believed in me. His diagnosis has always been accurate and right first time. His expertise means he can pick up an injury on a scan that no one else can – he’s quite remarkable, confident and just inspires confidence.
He’s very knowledgeable, an expert in the field and introduced me to cutting edge treatments that no-one has ever mentioned. Giving me Ostenil Plus was sheer genius! When I needed surgical treatment, he’s helped me find the best surgeon. When I needed a rheumatologist, he also found me the best. He works together with other doctors which makes everything so simple.
I gave up everything to train to be an Olympic Runner, but after being injured, I never thought I’d get back. Others dismissed me as a hopeless case but Kal never did. He always convinced me “to give it one more try”… he’s always been right, against all odds, I’m running again and it’s like a dream and I’m enjoying every moment of it.
Kal has a gift, he’s the best sports doctor I’ve ever met, and he’s given me my life back.
Thank you Kal so very much for your constant help, I’m eternally grateful to you for not giving up on me.
I’ve known Kal since 2009 as Club Doctor at Leicester Tigers. He’s been fantastic, always making sure the players’ welfare comes first. He has always been extremely clear on the management of injuries, the process and length of injury, he’s monitored progress and made sure I never felt pushed.
Injuries he’s dealt with included 2 shoulder injuries, resulting in operations, 2 knee injuries and some general wear and tear. Kal has always been extremely approachable and clear. I’ve always had confidence in his judgement.
Thanks for the time invested into getting me back on the pitch.
I was introduced to Dr Parmar is 2012 while suffering knee problems that were impeding my water skiing.
Dr Parmar diagnosed the underlying structural problem and treated it with a variety of methods. I remember his calm manner being very reassuring, as I stressed that my sporting career was in jeopardy.
The treatments were effective and the best part of a decade later my knee is in much better shape than it was.
In that time, I have moved from my then World Ranking of 28th to winning World, European and US Masters Championships. I am very confident that without the help of Dr Parmar this would not have been possible.
I feel lucky that our paths crossed so that I could receive such expert treatment.
I’ve known Dr Parmar since I started my career in the UK in 2006, I have full trust on Dr Parmar, I've never had any other doctor looking after my sport/performance issues.
He’s dealt with a shoulder dislocation, back problems, knees problem, bursitis, full Achilles rupture and sciatic nerve issues. I came out on top after every injury, from the simplest to the most complex ones.
Dr Parmar was extremely knowledgeable on each case, he always made me understand what was happening and helped me investigate the causes, also how to prevent them from happening again. Not just curing, but also educating.
He also took the time to see my actual show to understand better how my body was working. Always my go-to Dr.
I’ve known kal since going to Leicester academy in 2009. Been brilliant as club doctor and I’ve always thought very well looked after by him.
Always very honest when I’ve had an issues. Kals dealt with a couple of ankle injuries, osteitis pubis and Achilles tendinitis since I’ve been at the club.
Always very approachable and personal and felt very well looked after from a professional point of view
Dr Parmar was the first Sports Doctor I saw.
He’s very honest about my issues and give solutions that will benefit me in my practice. He’s helped diagnose numerous knee issues that I’ve have had and helped sort them out.
I have had both my knees under the knife, he’s helped with my recovery and suggested some rehab workout for my coaches. Back at the start of my career he helped me deal with my hamstring tears, pulls and strains.
He’s an amazing Doctor and I’ll continue to see him.
It was such a pleasure to work with a professional guy like Kal, always supporting us and the players and still taking care of our health.
What a great team we were…
I was referred to Kal in 2013 following an injury to my shoulder, it was an AC joint dislocation grade3 – so very nasty and painful. The injury happened mid-season so I had to keep riding with it until the end before I could have surgery.
Kal helped me through this difficult time, I finished 3rd in the World Championship despite the injury in 2013, kept my contract for the following year and eventually was World Champion in 2014.
I’ve been 100% happy with everything, Kal looked after me in the best way possible.

I met Dr Parmar in August 2020 and saw him several times over the course of about 4 months, he was a fantastic doctor to me. I really felt he listened and understood my concerns and my goals. He took me, my injuries and my career seriously which meant a lot to me and I immediately trusted him and his methods - he was the first doctor I’d seen who looked at my body as a whole, rather than each injury separately. I trusted his referral to other medical professionals when it was necessary, and I will always look to him for advice in the future.
I felt he managed my injuries and treatment well and although I am still suffering with the same injuries, I can say I believe we exhausted every possible route together. Above all, he was calming and professional whilst still making me laugh and see the bright side, even when I was struggling at times.
He dealt with my right shoulder, left ankle and right hip, all injuries caused by dancing. Dr Parmar helped me on the road to the surgeries I ended up having which, again although they did not relieve my pain, allowed me to gain the strength and confidence to return to my career as a performer.
I was at the end of my career and sustained a knee injury which Kal diagnosed and then helped with treatment options and procedures.
Unfortunately, it was an injury on a knee that had 3 reconstructions prior to that. After the rehabilitation program that we put in place did not provide adequate recovery, Kal then subsequently helped to provide all the facts so that I could make a decision to retire from rugby.
The right decision was definitely made because all scenarios were provided and not pushed into a corner to get me back onto the field. I really appreciated the care and attention given to me by Kal, working in conjunction with the medical team, to provide holistic and sensible management of a complex problem.
I worked with Kal for many years at Tigers in my role as Director of Rugby. He was always dependable and to the point with accurate diagnoses and player welfare at heart.
He professionalised the medical set-up to the envy of other clubs and was never afraid to put his foot down when the situation demanded!
I’ve known Kal for almost 15 years, Sports Medicine Doctors were very new to the United Kingdom back then, so he was one of the first.
I could see early on that he was experienced and did not waste time. He is always quick to arrange imaging for diagnosis or to prescribe appropriate treatments, depending on what is needed.
He has advised me in relation to a number of tendon/muscle injuries and following a traumatic cycling injury (head, neck and spine) in Lanzarote.
I’d go to Kal for any new/serious musculoskeletal injuries.
When Doctor Kal started at the Club, I was ill. He came to my house directly for treatment, a quick recovery, advice on what to eat and he also game me supplements. He used every detail to get me on the pitch, being responsible but also as quickly as possible. He gave me confidence that everything would be ok because I was very ill.
That is Doctor Kal, not only does he know what he is doing, but also a great person and gives trust to people.
The other thing what I never forget, is that he demonstrated a skill to beat me in a one against one drill - it looked like the Brazilian legend Rivelinho, but it was different….!
Kal gave me very direct advice based off his expertise in osteitis pubis, his experience proved invaluable as he knew the precise next steps necessary for me to heal and allow me to train again.
Overall, I felt very comfortable as he had experience in the area, I found this to be a niche which not many people knew about, so to feel confident in advice given was essential in my recovery.
I’ve known Kal for approximately 10 years, when I’ve had a need to speak to him on a formal medical basis, he was prompt and professional in sorting out an appointment and referring me onto a specialist. I would recommend Kal without hesitation…
This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
I met Kal in 2009 when he became Club Doctor at Leicester Tigers, at the time I was a player at the Club, and I was experiencing some difficulty with a back injury, so I spent a lot of time in Kal’s office and under his care and guidance.
I found the Doc to be a consummate professional when dealing with the clinical facts and some harsh realities regarding my injury which became a career ending injury.
I appreciated the fact that Kal always delivered the information in an empathetic manner and treated me with absolute care, due to this we were able to work together and I was able to trust his direction in what was one of the most challenging periods of my life when retiring from the game in 2010.
I was fortunate enough to work with Kal again between 2015-2017 when I went back to Tigers as a coach and Kal was then the medical advisor for the club.
During this period, we worked closely on the health of our players and I witnessed the quality of the Docs work which allowed me to make best informed decisions on the welfare and care of all those involved with the squad.
